May Bank Holiday 24 hour broadcast raising money for the Spring Intensive Care unit at Derriford NHS Hospital
The Pirates of Polbathic Radio Station is a community outreach initiative, supported by The Halfway House Pub and DJ Mutton Jeff. Our aim is to keep the village of Polbathic, Cornwall, and the surrounding areas, entertained and in touch during the current Covid 19 Pandemic and the resulting Lock Down. They currently run a 3 hour show every Sunday, with listeners tuning in online. The first of these shows was broadcast from the Pub, however since Lockdown the DJing, technical support and social media elements are all done from their separate homes.
To raise money they are putting on a 24 hour live stream of the Radio Show. This will take place over May Bank Holiday Weekend, starting at 3pm on Saturday 9th May and concluding with their usual 12-3 slot on Sunday 10th May. As well as a wide range of music with something for everyone, they will have games and competitions throughout the show to give everyone a chance to join in. All money raised will go to the Spring Intensive Care Charity. |
